RITA's Independents Day Expo To Help Local Charities
Thursday 28 June
The RITA Independents Expo Day, which is to be held in Ripon will also be providing stalls to local charities. July 7th - 10.00am - 4.00pm, Ripon Market Square.
More and more independent retailers and local businesses from Ripon are signing up for the first Independents’ Day Expo on the city’s Market Square on Saturday 7 July – and Ripon Independent Traders Association (RITA) is providing space for charities on the day.
There will be 30 stands on Independents’ Day to draw attention to the wide variety of independent traders in the city and its surrounding area. RITA is also sponsoring four charity stalls, The Walled Garden, Jennyruth Workshops, Community House and “Smile for it promotions” taking space.
Among the attractions of the day will be free food and wine tastings and competitions, as well as a chance to see what the different traders have to offer from shoes to pictures, clothes to financial services. RITA’s members include many of the city’s more individual businesses, including cafés and restaurants, accessories and clothes shops, galleries, electrical suppliers and office equipment suppliers.
RITA member Don Grundy, of the Deli on Duck Hill, says, ‘The Independents’ Day Expo on 7 July will be really banging the drum for good, individual businesses in Ripon. We have a brilliant mix of all types of traders, and we want to show local people and visitors the full range of what we can offer – and at the same time helping local charities.’
There is still time for other local businesses to join RITA and play a part in the Independents’ Day Expo.
