Independents Day Exhibitors And Parking Arrangements

In just 2 days time we will see the Ripon Market Square buzzing with activity as the Ripon Independent Traders Association (RITA) hold their expo.

The 30 stalls will take up the south end of the Market Place but there will still be parking available on the North side as usual. The issue of parking though is constantly at the forefront of the minds of the traders which is why they started the Parking Initiative back in May. This so far has proven to be a great success with shoppers appreciating this extra effort to help them

On Saturday 7th July there will be additional parking available on The College Business Park on Kearsley Road (just off Palace Road). Express Terminals and Kindercare Nursery have kindly offered their car parks to be used. It is then just a short walk through the Old College grounds into town. Maybe people living in Ripon could walk into town rather than drive on days when events are held to free up some parking for people from the surrounding area and tourists.

The Market Square is a fantastic venue which will be alive with food and drink tasting, culture, fashion, home and business services. It will be a great opportunity to see what the Ripon District has to offer locals and tourists alike.

The event runs from 10am - 4pm, so fingers crossed for fine weather!
