I visited Harrogate with my son for the Youth Music Festival in March 2005. I took the opportunity to visit Fountains Abbey via bus that dropped me off in Ripon. I found lunch at a shop in Market Square and after Fountains I sat in this beautiful cathedral for a while. Ripon and the surrounding area are certainly some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen. I hope to come back one day for a much longer visit.
