Well now you can, from Crimple Valley Fresh in Harrogate. Owner Steve Willis, who has farmed in the Crimple valley for a number of years, has recently diversified to start this exciting new business. He sources the majority of his produce straight from the farmers and producers in Yorkshire.
“We act as a hub for other local producers and take the fantastic produce they grow to our customers around the area,” he explains. “All the goods are fully traceable and we can tell our customers exactly where it came from and who grew, farmed or made it. These days, how many people can say that they actually know where their food comes from, how it is produced or when it is in season?”
By sourcing food locally, Crimple Valley Fresh helps it’s customers reduce their carbon footprint, and can also supply fully certified organic produce. Customers can select what they need and design a bespoke delivery of their chosen items, or order one of the set fruit or vegetable boxes, which contain a variety of seasonal produce.
This flexibility is one of Steve’s advantages - you get exactly what you need and like so there’s no wastage. As well as top quality fruit and vegetables, his range include salads, dairy products, meats, eggs, cheeses, smoked fish and meat, oils, herbs, fresh pasta, pickles and preserves, cereal, ready meals and soups. His website is easy to use and has information about all the products and the places where they come from, so you can see exactly where your food is grown.
