Competition Winner

Here’s the winner of the huge prize draw, collecting their prize from Paul Gilliam of A1M Technology on Saturday, 17th February.

Joanne from Grewelthorpe had a copy of the November issue of Review Ripon, with the competition details in it, through her door and decided to enter for a giggle. “I’ve never won anything before, so I really wasn’t expecting to win but thought I’d enter anyway just for a laugh!” said Joanne. “My old computer has actually been under my bed for ages and is more use holding the bed up than anything else!”

Paul offered Joanne the choice of a normal desktop pc or a laptop, and Joanne loved the idea of the laptop so took that, plus some tee shirts and mugs as well, and advice from Paul. “We’ve just got the internet connected at home last weekend, so this couldn’t have happened at a better time and now I can help my son with his homework,” Joanne said. “I was so happy when I got the call from Paul the other day saying I’d won - I was literally jumping up and down and almost screaming with delight. I’m really chuffed to bits with it and can’t thank Paul enough!”

"We love to do things like this," said Paul from A1M Technology, “We’ve been part of the Ripon business community for many years now and it’s great to be able to give something back. We were pleased to see the laptop go to such a good home - it certainly sounds like Joanna and her son will be making full use of their new computer, and if they need any help with it they know where we are!”
