Lockwoods have teamed up with Chris Blackburn, Yorkshire Pudding champion, for a Yorkshire Pudding Evening on Wednesday 3rd April, including Chris’s one-of-a-kind Yorkshire Pudding recipe as featured on ITV’s ‘Food Glorious Food!’

The Yorkshire Pudd’s name makes the dish the most well know Yorkshire cuisine. World renowned, Yorkshire tradition requires that Yorkshire Pudding be an essential part of every great Sunday Roast. The pudding even features as a stand-alone starter as well as a staple within the main but its versatility hardly ends there. Lockwoods restaurant in Ripon have teamed up with Chris Blackburn of Yorkshire Pudd to champion the great and delicious Yorkshire Pudding. The evening is dedicated to demonstrating how Yorkshire Pudding can be incorporated into desserts and combined with flavours from Asian cuisine. Chris is possibly the greatest champion of our favourite puddings. He is winner of the 2011 & 2012 Great Yorkshire Pudding Challenge held at the Dean Clough Cookery School. Chris can also be seen on ITV’s Food! Glorious Food! programme which airs on March 27th. On April 3rd, Chris is preparing his one-of-a-kind Yorkshire pudding recipe working together with the Lockwoods chefs to produce a three course menu. Matthew Lockwood, owner of Lockwoods restaurant in Ripon said ‘We are always looking at ways to incorporate great Yorkshire produce and dishes into our menus. We met Chris and decided an evening together would be perfect for achieving this goal. Lockwoods is all about taking traditional flavours and dishes and giving people the opportunity to try something different.
