Beulah Yoga & Movement Festival

Beulah Yoga & Movement Festival

Beulah Festival is in its third year at Lime Tree Farm, Nr Ripon, 22nd to 25th July. Throughout the weekend, festival goers will be invited to take part in unique workshops, teaching varied yoga disciplines including Ashtanga and Kundalini yoga. There will also be opportunities to try different and more unusual forms of movement and dance practice, such as Nia; an aerobics and martial arts fusion and 5Rhythms. In addition, a whole range of diverse experiences will be on offer, from creative workshops like Pimp My Clothes; a chance to give your old clothes a bit of sparkle and singing circles. There is also a therapeutic Body Sanctuary for regeneration, a meditation space, vegetarian and vegan food and live music to entertain in the evenings. This year’s headline act is Celtarabia, playing a wild fusion of Arabic, Andalucian, Celtic, Medieval music and contemporary beats designed to get bodies dancing. The festival is family friendly with lots of kid’s activities on offer, including circus skills, bushcraft, kids yoga and arts & crafts. To better facilitate that connection with others, the music, the environment, and ourselves, alcohol and drugs are left at home. Sarah Taylor, the festival organiser was inspired to organise Beulah Festival, following a similar event she attended on her travels to New Zealand. “That festival was the first event I’d ever been to where the focus was primarily on health and well-being and nothing else. The only highs people experienced were natural highs gained from the participation in the yoga and healing workshops. Beulah has taken inspiration, stepping boldly away from the mainstream commercial events, providing a welcome alternative for those who crave something "real".” The festival is a non-profit venture, with any profits going to Pegasus Children’s Project, a charity that provides a caring home for orphaned children in Nepal. A Weekend ticket costs £60 (adult) & £20 (child) and includes all the workshops, music and camping. To purchase tickets and find out more visit www.beulahmovementfest.co.uk
