Ripon City Photographic Society Annual Photography Exhibition
A free exhibition of prints and digital images crafted by RCPS members, displayed in an airy, wheelchair accessible venue with refreshments available. Spend your time looking at a variety of photographic images, taken by members in a variety of (pre-pandemic) locations and closer to home, even at a macro level. Optional talks will be provided for anyone wanting to hear more from some of the RCPS members. Venue: Allhallowgate Methodist Church Hall, Victoria Grove, Ripon, HG4 1LG, 9am to 4pm.
Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge for Local Hospice Care
Can you take on Yorkshire's iconic Three Peak challenge and raise funds for local hospice care? Challenge yourself and climb for Hospice Care. This is your chance to take on the stunning 25-mile route including 1500m of ascent and descent and the aim of completing it within 12 hours. Every step you take and every pound you raise in sponsorship will help local families living with terminal illness and bereavement This challenge is provided by Large Outdoors who will provide fully trained guides and first aiders on the day. You will be in a team with other Saint Michael’s and Herriot Hospice walkers who will keep you spurred on. We'll be there with you every step of the way, with a fundraising pack for all walkers which will include a kit list, FAQs and an itinerary. We'll also support you with training tips, advice from the experts and encouragement and ideas to boost your fundraising. Along the route we will provide treats and refreshments to keep you going strong as well as a special Team Purple T-shirt! Registration is just £40. Teams of 10 or more can register for just £20 per person. We ask that you try and raise £100 or more in sponsorship
