Don & Sadie Grundy own deli on duck hill, and have stamped their own personalities on all aspects of the business, since coming to Ripon.

With over 50 fresh cutting cheeses, charcuterie, pâtes & salads, preserves & pickles, we are unique in Ripon, providing the most flexible provision of quality foodstuffs.

Deli on duck hill specialise in foods from Yorkshire, and are very active supporters of ‘Deliciously Yorskhire’, the regional food group.

Deli on Duck Hill also obtain foods from across the globe and indeed reguarly import foods, especially cheeses, and are the sole importers of Senf und Mehr mustards.

We have quickly forged contacts in France, Spain & Italy from where we regularly import rare foods; some foods we import directly from farmers and producers.

We are currently stocking a wonderful range of Parma Ham products which we have obtained from the farms in Italy. We are the only independent stockists of Von Muhelin’s prized “Gruyere Premier Cru” Cheese from Switzerland, accepted as the “Worlds Best Cheese”.

Set in the very pretty arcade of “Ripon Small Shops” on historic Duck Hill, you must enter the deli to appreciate the products on offer. Such wonderful smells permeate the air, freshly ground coffees, meats & fruits; start the gastric juices flowing.

Samples are offered of many of the foods on offer.

The deli looks along Kirkgate, to the Ripon Cathedral.
