Car Parks in Ripon

Ripon has a selection of car parks that offer a convenient place to park while you do your shopping or visit one of the tourist attractions in the City. The car parks in Ripon are Pay & Display and the prices start from £0.50 for 1 hour, £0.80 for 2 hours, up to £1.60 for 4 hours in the long stay car park which is situated off St Mary’s Gate.

The Market Square offers free Pay & Display parking for a maximum of 1 hour.

The West of the Market Place car park is currently being development to accommodate a new supermarket and shops, but will have limited parking available which offers free disc parking. Extra parking has been made available at the Rugby and Football Club as well as at Bethal Church. To run in conjunction with the West of Market Place development many shops in Ripon are offering to reimburse parking costs if you spend over £5. Look out for the green parking P’s in shop windows. The car parks in Ripon are open 24 hours a day, and times and days vary as to when the charges apply.

There is free parking for Disabled badge holders and motorbikes.

Public Toilets are situated next to the Bus Station / Arcade car park, near the Cathedral on Minster Road, and just off the Market Square behind the Walkmans House.
