Ripon Bonfire Night 2010

The Ripon Community Bonfire will be taking place on Friday 5th November at the Ripon Racecourse. Gates open at 6pm.

It’s a new location this year for the Ripon bonfire as it relocates to Ripon Racecourse. The event is being organised by the Rotary Club of Ripon Rowels and promises to be a great evening of entertainment and fireworks.

The gates will open at 6pm when the Ripon Grammar School Band will strike up. There will also be children’s entertainment available along with food and refreshments. At 7pm the big bonfire will be lit and then at 7.30pm there will be the fireworks display.

Advanced Tickets for the bonfire night will cost £4 for adults and £2 for children, and there will also be a Family ticket available (2 adults and 2 children) for £10. On the gate prices are £5 for adults and £3 for children so it’s best to buy your tickets before the day. Tickets will be on sale from the Knowledge Magnet Toy Shop on Kirkgate, Craggs Electrical (opposite the bus station), Hay’s Travel on Westgate and the Ripon Tourist Information Centre (opposite the Cathedral).

Many Ripon businesses have sponsored the events and the main sponsors are The Barker Partnership, North Yorkshire County Council, KA Anderson, FastFlow and Bronco.

Come and join in the fun and celebrate Bonfire Night in Ripon at the Racecourse on the 5th November.
