2I used to see a girl there called at the time Carol Carling, this was in 1959/60 when I was doing my National Service. As I remember the pool was a small one but, very clean. I found Ripon a beautiful place and the people very pleasant. I used to go swimming as often as posible to get get out of Army life. I then went on to Germany and missed Ripon very much. 3I learned to swim there in the 70's my Grandad was the swimming club secretary - I really hope they don't demolish it! Last time I was in Ripon they were considering it. There can't be too many Victorian swimming baths left!
4I spent hours there as a girl and teenager. Loved swimming. And No. 2, Carol Carling was a friend of mine. I wish I could find her again. Carol and i were always at the "baths." She was a beautiful swimmer. Penny (Randall) Caster, Aug. 16, 2011.
