The George at Wath

Located in the pretty village of Wath, 3 miles from the cathedral city of Ripon, and 5 minutes from the A1, The George At Wath prides itself on serving the finest Yorkshire produce.
The George is situated at the heart of the village, and has undergone substantial refurbishment under the current owners since their recent acquisition. It has been renovated to the highest standards to make visiting The George a great experience and one that keeps people returning time and again.
We offer a selection of menus to suit all pockets, serving only freshly cooked, locally sourced produce, complimented by four hand pulled Yorkshire cask ales, and a list of fine wines, available by the glass or bottle.

These can be enjoyed in our contemporary, yet traditional bar area, our secluded beer garden, or our stylish restaurant, where we can cater for private parties of 16 people to 60 people.

We serve one of the finest Sunday lunches in Yorkshire, from 12pm until 5pm, hold regular events complimented by live music evenings, and, if you like a challenge we hold a quiz every Sunday evening from 19:30.

The George also has a wedding licence should you wish to get married at the pub, but is also situated yards from a quintessential English country church should you want a venue with style but the convenience a church for your big day.
